There's something about being out there with your camera before dawn. It's the quiet, the peace, the tranquility. It's relaxation for the busy creative mind and for me, my camera is my sketchbook. Standing on the shores of Lake Estes outside of Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, I was waiting for a great sunrise but instead was greeted with something subtle but beautiful as rain clouds began rolling in and the bugle of Elk filled the air. It was gorgeous in its own right and the colors gave a nice cool temperature representation of the landscape. We don't get these sorts of colors here often as morning rain isn't the norm here in Colorado.
I hope you all like it.
